Denholme Town Council has vacancies for two new Town Councillors. Could that be YOU?

Do you want to help keep Denholme a vibrant, good place to live?

Then why not think about joining the Town Council?

  • Are you interested in local current affairs?
  • Do you want to serve your community
  • Could you provide a voice for residents?

Local issues need local people to speak up for them!

If you want to get involved in making decisions about your local community and make a significant contribution to the area in which you live, then this is your chance!

You would need to be able to contribute one evening a month to attend Town Council meetings and occasional meetings in between. In return you will join a lively group of committed local residents and have the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping your local community.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and a British subject or a citizen of the commonwealth or European Union and must satisfy at least one of the following:

  • be on the Electoral Roll for Denholme
  • have, during the whole of the previous 12 months, occupied land
  • or other property in Denholme, either as tenant or owner
  • have, during the whole of the previous 12 months, had your principal
  • or only place of work in Denholme
  • Have lived in Denholme during the whole of the previous 12 months

If you are interested in becoming a Town Councillor, please contact the Town Clerk for further information and an application form.
